Topics for Bachelor Thesis

The bachelor theses' topics we offer aim to introduce you to an experimental physicist's work on interdisciplinary research projects in an international environment.
At the present we can provide bachelor theses' topics as follows:

  • Environmental relevant Raman measurements (SERS) of a mixture of pollutants in artificial seawater
  • Raman measurements with the "Laser pistol" to identify the quality of meat
  • We expect interdisciplinaryly interested students who are dedicated to their work and are willing to further research. As a matter of fact, knowledge of the English language is essential since the team members come from all over the world.

On 1.6.2009 the EC-project SENSEnet (kick-off meeting 5.6.2009) started together with ten project partners from the EU and seven more associated partners. The ITN-project intends to find young PhD-scientists which will promote in situ sensor technology concerning ocean engineering. Our work group is looking for two PhD-students (physicists with knowledge in terms of chemistry and/or offshore technology and/or physical chemistry and/or engineering) to start their work on 1.9.2009. They have to fulfill the conditions of the Marie-Curie-programme of 2008 to receive a three-year-scholarship (non-German citizens). Applications are welcome from now on! Further information about SENSEnet is given on the homepage.
